Las Batallas y La Guerra : The Battles and the War

He comenzado a pensar que aprendiendo español no es una batalla pequeña, pero un guerra larga con muchas batallas para ganar. No puede aprender todo sobre español en un día or en un mes o siquiera en un año y este seriá frustrante porque queremos saber todo ahora mismo. Pero, debemos recordar que no supimos todo sobre inglés inmediamente tampoco. Con mucho uso de inglés, llegamos a ser competentes en el idioma. Así que, cada vez que hablo en español, cada vez que leo algo en español, y cada vez que escribo estos pasajes, sé que estoy aprendiendo algo nuevo. No es una esfuerza sóla, es su práctica cumulativa que ganará la guerra.

I’ve started to think that learning Spanish is not a small battle, but a long war with many small battles to win. You can’t learn everything in Spanish in one day or in one month or even in one year and this can be frustrating because we want to know everything right now. But, we should remember that we didn’t know everything about English right away either. With much use of English, we become competent in the language. So, each time I speak Spanish, each time I read something in Spanish, and each time I write these passages, I know that I’m learning something new. It’s not just one effort, it’s your cumulative practice that will win the war.
